Honestly, the dropping of the "F" bomb did not surprise me at all. We are so far from anything normal in politics, that this is just another step in Darth Cheeto's deterioration, is practically a given.

Not to worry. I'm sure North Dakota's three stooges, John, Kevin, and Julie, can rationalize it and sleep well at night.

From NPR March 23, 2010: Leave it to Vice President Joe Biden to put the importance of the health care legislation his boss was about to sign into law into language that we can all understand:

"This is a big f-ing deal," he said to President Barack Obama this morning at the White House (on a hot mic).

Can we just stop with the "well, I never" already? The expressed vulgarity is in the past and present lexicon of both Democrats and Republicans, although from today's post you'd never know it.

Being caught on a hot mic is not the same as answering a reporters question in front of an audience.

True. Now look at Jasmine Crockett's most recent statement. There are other Democrats that have been dropping the f-bomb since Trump was elected. Were those hot mics?

Biden did not know he was on a hot mike. The other guy knew but didn’t care.

From Politico 3-9-2025: Last month, when Democrats joined federal workers at a rally of the American Federation of Government Employees to protest DOGE cuts, the profanities nearly rivaled those gathered.

“I don’t swear in public very well, but we have to fuck Trump,” said Rep. Maxine Dexter (D-Ore.), adding, “Please don’t tell my children that I just did that.”

The awkward formulation — which landed less like a diss and more like a proposition — was roundly mocked.

“The key to doing it and doing it well is that you can’t overdo it and you can’t force it,” said Caitlin Legacki, a Democratic campaign veteran. “If elected officials are going to cuss, they have to mean it. If it’s authentic to who they are and how they’re feeling, voters will probably be fine with it and even relate to it. But if it’s not authentic, there’s nothing more cringeworthy.”

_ _ _ _ _ _

Does Ms. Legacki speak for Democrats? That "if elected officials are going to cuss, they have to mean it?" Does this rationale work for any politician, regardless of stripe?

Don't get me wrong. Trump is a corrupt, habitual liar and. probably the worst President in the history of the country. But the "they don't know what the f*** they are doing" is probably the only thing Trump has ever said that I agree with. If we want peace in the Middle East, we ALL need to put the brakes on Israel. They don't have the right to terrorize and kill tens of thousands of children. They don't have the right to drag us into WWIII and have us pay for it. They need to stop their land grab in Palestinian territory. Yes, Hamas is very, very bad. What they did was horrific. Take out all of them. But Israel's war is not against Hamas, it is a cruel, inhuman campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people--an unapologetic string of war crimes. Trump is trying to stop a war that he certainly created by ripping up Obama's nuclear deal, but Israel doesn't want the war to end. They want it to continue and they want us to join them and pay for it. They don't want the cease fire to succeed. They want to do to Iran what they did to Gaza and they want to do it with our military equipment and money--possibly even with our ground troops. All while nuclear powers China, Russia, North Korea and Pakistan look on.

Years ago there was a group of monkeys at the Blank Park Zoo I loved to watch. There was an alpha female who had a small child monkey who was obviously the dominant young monkey. The athletic, hyperactive monkey would climb the fences, chase the other monkeys, sneak up on adult monkeys and thump them in the ears from behind. Once they were all screaming they would chase the young monkey who would run and hide behind her alpha mother who would scare the other monkeys away. When everything calmed down, she would then turn and thump her delinquent offspring in the head.

We need to protect Israel, but its conduct certainly warrants a few thumps in the head. Maybe we shouldn't be so quick to write the checks and maybe Israel shouldn't be able to assume it can just commit our military and checkbook to whatever war it decides to start. So I'm less worried about the language and more worried about the continued escalation during an attempt at a cease fire.

I know, when I heard what he said this morning I said WTF myself! Yep he acted like a kid in high school that didn't get a date to the prom! So now I say OMG what did he expect? The two countries involved have been "at it" for centuries why oh why would they ever listen to "HIM."

Do I detect a note of desperation in his tone in that sound bite…? 🤔 It’s as though he’s finally beginning to get the sense that the world does not LIVE AND DIE by his words (or posts) and it’s making him frustrated enough that he’s having a temper tantrum. 🤬🤬🤬 It’s about time for this Clown’s reality TV show to be cancelled, IMBO of course…

The guy has no clue how to make a deal. Just look at what is happening with immigration. There WAS a deal and he trashed it and now America is awash in pain and suffering and violence and even death and a huge cost in money and human lives thanks to his LACK of deal making. The only thing he knows are threats, force, and violence. And the quisling Republicans and Roberts Court, all across America, are showing their true colors with their lack of ability to do anything but get in line and do as they are told. And even worse...act against the interests of their own constituents - case in point the budget bill, which will decimate everyone in America, but the billionaires.

Excellent point about DT being a role model. I'd never thought about it in that way, but it is so true. In all honestly, I'm less concerned about the "F" bombs than about the real bombs - and the unhinged temper tantrums. Lack of maturity and self control indeed. And unfortunately his actions have consequences for all of us. How many Republicans WILL stand up to him? What's the red line? Loved The Onion's latest editorial letter to congress: "Congress, Now More Than Ever, Our Nation Needs Your Cowardice."
