Trygve will (hopefully) prevail in ND.

But even if he does not - this time - he should continue efforts toward public office.

I admire his thoughtful steadfastness.

Good luck on Tuesday. You are a good human being and I hope there are enough other good human beings in ND who can see you and put you over the top.

Greetings and best wishes again from Boston.

I'm 76 years old and on a fixed income, so I can't afford to give much. But I certainly can't afford NOT to give, and NOT to give again, after when Benedict Donald has said repeatedly what he intends to do to trash our still and always great Nation. You have proven body and soul your commitment, over and over, to support the aim of our Constitution "to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" against our enemies, foreign and now sadly domestic as well.

Wishing you, and us, the BEST on Election Day. God bless America, and God and the voters protect us from Putin's Puppets.

You're way out of my district, but love your message (and your communication material). Good luck!

I hope that you have reminded ND farmers of what Trumps threatened tariffs will destroy their overseas markets!

Mr Hammer, your post is confusing. You would wonder, or used to wonder, what happens in "god's" nostrils when abortion bans kill adult women, who might have at home other children who need her, but you did not say you wondered, or imagined asking, what this is all about if there is no such thing as "god." There is neither proof nor even evidence of "god," and religions are called "faiths" and "beliefs" for a reason: you just have to have faith in them, and believe in them, if you want to, despite the lack of substance.

As for the confusion of who gets to decide, this is even more complicated. You pointed out the inconsistency of saying the states should decide, and there should be a federal limit -- this is of course a contradiction -- but if anyone thinks, even partially, that the decision should more local than the federal government, then why shouldn't it be as local as it really is: the pregnant couple. (A pregnancy is almost always the result of intimacy between two people who BOTH did not want a pregnancy to result. and I would venture to say that in essentially every case, the male doesn't want a pregnancy, and the responsibilities that come with it, just as much as the female doesn't.

I certainly agree with Reps/cons that essentially assassinating a healthy child just after it's born is a terrible and unacceptable concept. I want to focus my indignation better by being given a list of these horrifying episodes. I understand the theoretical complaint, but I want names. And I want to know how many of those murderers were prosecuted and punished by the states involved. I want to be furious about this, but I can't work up fury over a concept that seems -- and I hate to be disrespectful here -- highly dubious.

As you're personally making clear, it doesn't take a woman to ask the right questions, and stand for the right rights. If it did, you wouldn't be running (yeah, I know you feel compelled, because Deb Fischer is a nitwit. But it's not because she's a woman.).

Bill's comment is absolutely right, and I hope it doesn't come to an initial loss for you. I hope you won't "hopefully" prevail, but that the voters of ND will see to it that you're guaranteed to prevail.

Mr Hammer’s writing, and his humanity, really caught my attention; I’ve even wanted to support him from Mass. However I haven't been able to find his positions on immigration. I would like to read his nuanced approach to this complicated issue, beyond the demagoguery in the media. Please point me to any thing he has written on immigration. Fyi, I am a voter who is anti illegal immigration and pro managed immigration who cares a lot about this issue.

Hi Bill. Trygve wrote some about immigration in this substack post earlier this year. https://open.substack.com/pub/trygvehammer/p/border-lines-and-factual-divides?r=1353n8&utm_medium=ios

Thanks for the tip. Found it and read it. Very disappointing that Hammer would discount the complaint of his constituent as “misinformed”. How very wrong and foolish of him! Would he also explain away the Boston, New York and Chicago migrant crises as misinformation? I wanted to support Hammer, but this is a glaring example of Democratic denial about immigration that is driving reasonable people into MAGA (not me though).

Take a STAND

National has their playbook to get Kamala to WIN!

It includes the possible loss of some US Rep and Senate races.

You can actively court YOUR voters with these MESSAGES that show your Independence!

We say “Look at Project 2025” it abolishes your Freedoms!

Switchable Voters have been told Trump will. With the help of RFK change healthcare and restrict GMOs.

Those policies are nowhere in Project 2025 and Trump’s new civil servants vetted by Heritage Foundation would not carry out the Health Freedom Movement Agenda!

You can WIN by saying you will listen to other opinions, just like KAMALA!

Many voters have an Opposite Position on these issues that have “Nothing-to-do-with-Trump”?

The Baby Boomer Generation could see this election as their last chance to promote the ideals of the 1970s as so many of them are passing away: GMOs, Pesticide Use, Alternative Healthcare, and Increasing Immunity in place continued yearly Vaccines!

With COVID-19 a fringe century old anti-vaccine movement was coopted by political opportunist to make being anti-COVID a badge of political unity.

The Solution is a Functioning Democracy; not a “Strongman”

MAGA promotes this “Negative View” of Democracy. ---- To them:

Democracy is COVID-19 Mandates – Resulting from Decades of failure to enforce required Vaccine review and failure to look for an Alternative

ALL the rest of the WORLD in 2020 used past viral knowledge to look for Alternatives to combat COVID-19.

Democracy is Single Payor Western Medicine -Discounting Ayurveda, Indigenous Medicine. Herbs, TCM, and Homeopathy.

We NEED to save $$$ and LIVES by validating the use of herbs and other Traditional Methods. Laboratory tests can Now do this!

Democracy provides Poor Regulation of Pesticides and GMO crops

The 2024 Farm Bill provides no protection from “Frankenfood”.

Democracy is CODEX -Loss of US Sovereignty to “PHARMA Globalist”

Democrats need to explain to the 10% to 15% of switchable voters that if they have a working majority Democrats will make the CHANGES that respect the Environment and Health Freedom that have been obstructed by the Lobbyist, because Democrats CARE about these issues.

George: Many Republicans care about the issues of what you termed as "Health Freedom" and what I would term "anti-science" in the issues of GMOs and the COVID-19 "vaccine."

GMOs have entered our food economy without proper testing. Proponents of GMOs say that our agricultural community cannot feed the planet's billions without using this technology. They say GMO seeds/methods of growing guarantee bigger and better crops. What I've seen is bigger profit for those who hold the GMO patents, and bigger health issues that might result when eating GMO food products. Is the human body able to properly digest and/or utilize food laden with GMOs? Nobody knows yet, because of the lack of testing. Personally, I don't feel like being a test gerbil for the GMO industry, so I try to avoid those products as much as possible.

The COVID-19 "vaccine" is at best a therapeutic, like a flu shot. The word vaccine actually meant something before being co-opted during the COVID-19 era. The principle behind the development of vaccines came about as Edward Jenner used live cowpox (milder than smallpox) in the fight against the ravages of smallpox. People were vaccinated against polio, mumps, measles, etc. and were almost 100% certain that they would not contract these diseases afterwards. However, those who have taken the COVID-19 "vaccine" have contracted COVID-19 several times afterwards. It has NOT acted like a traditional vaccine, so it should NOT be termed a vaccine, but rather a therapeutic.

Thinking people should talk about these issues, as well as others. To insist that only one party is the party of thinkers does no one any favors. It closes the door on what could be good conversations.

Sincerely, one of those Republicans

I know many Republicans care about these Health Freedom Issues. As a Health Freedom advocate for most of 50 years I have seen how these issues have been downgraded by lobbyist of both parties. We are the only country that did not use HERBS to lessen the severity of COVID-19 (as a therapeutic). I wrote a Chapter: Why Did Western Medicine Fail COVID-19 Patients? Project 2025 does not provide any policy to use herbs. For you to think that Trump would go against the Heritage Foundation is not realistic. We have a much better chance influencing a new Kamala administration.

Heritage Foundation has not been able to influence Trump in the way some would like to think. Trump as well as many of his colleagues have stated that Project 2025 is not something he would be using to govern. I call this another scare tactic by Democrats to align Trump with something he's already said he won't be using. Another thing: does Project 2025 (which I haven't read) say anything about a stance on abortion? Trump has already stated he's leaving it up to the states to decide, which is a position I agree with. There should be neither a national abortion ban nor a national abortion law that would circumvent the rights of states to decide this most polarizing issue. I use herbs as the first line of defense against diseases, pharma only when necessary. For COVID-19, only herbs and OTC, NEVER Pfizer, Moderna or the lot. Thanks, George, for being civil.
